The Value Management Foundation Course
Value Solutions is
pleased
to offer the first UK eLearning foundation course
in Value Management. The course is offered in collaboration with Cyril Sweett and Impart Links enabling
delegates to complete their training in a number of locations around the UK, including
Yorkshire, London, Bristol and Scotland.
The course has been developed to make Value Management training and
knowledge more readily available at an affordable price and with the minimum interference
to the normal day to day running of a company whilst the training is taking place.
Advantages of the course include:
- The cost of the training is very competitive,
even more so if indirect costs are factored in.
- There is only one day of workshop instruction
rather than three as is the norm. In other words, there will only be one day away
from normal working duties and no overnight hotel costs will be incurred.
- Delegates can work at their own pace and to their
own timescales.
- 'The Value Management Benchmark' and 'Value Management
of Construction Projects' books are included in the course fees.
- All workshop venue costs are included in the
course fees.
Introduction to the Course
The eLearning Value Management foundation course has been structured to permit self-learning (along with a working session)
of Value Management up to an awareness standard.
The course is structured into modules which have to be completed in a sequential
manner. Each module contains theory, examples and exercises for the student to study
and complete.
This interactive learning session forms the first
part of the Foundation Course. The second part is a one day working session where
students will experience first hand how Value Management
tools and techniques are used in a workshop environment. The
working day is structured around a comprehensive case study which serves to show
how tools and techniques are used as well as highlighting team interactions and
facilitation skills.
As part of this Foundation Course the student
will have to complete, prior to embarking upon the one day working session, a 1500
word assignment to demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of both Value Management
theory and of the case study which will be used during the working session.
The interactive learning document is structured
into 3 sections and 10 modules as outlined below.
